I began with origami flowers.

My first commission was for a friend with hayfever who wanted a bouquet that wouldn't have her sneezing down the aisle! After that I kept taking requests from friends getting married.

I'm also a professional dancer, so I had to balance commissions with dance work. Since March 2020 I have been working full-time as a paper florist and I love pouring all my energy into floral masterpieces.

I am self taught, learning at first from online tutorials and later from books. Now I use all that knowledge as the foundation for my own designs.

I'm now at the stage in my work where I am creating floral blueprints from scratch. This is what makes my flowers truly unique.

This will depend on the scale of your commission!

Naturally, bigger commissions will take longer to make, as will more detailed ones. It is recommended that you give as much notice as possible for weddings.

If you have a completion date in mind please let me know on the enquiry form. All other commissions will be given a delivery week and closer to the time the exact date of postage will be communicated.

One bouquet can take between two days and two weeks to create depending on the commission.

If taken good care of your flowers will last for many years, so please read the next FAQ on how best to look after them.

When arranging or handling flowers hold them by the stem just underneath the flowerhead.

Where possible avoid excessive handling as this may cause the flowers to lose their shape.

Display your flowers away from direct sunlight as the colour will fade with repeated exposure (I know this from experience!) However, gentle fading of the colours can make for a soft vintage feel if that's the kind of vibe you like.

Keep your flowers away from a wet/moisture rich environment. One of the great things about paper flowers is that you don't need to water them.

You might need to dust the flowers from time to time. I find brushing the flowers with a soft, dry paintbrush does the job well.

I normally send all my creations in made-to-measure boxes. However, because of COVID restrictions my usual bespoke box supplier is unavailable so all current orders will be shipped in standard boxes.

Flowers ordered directly from my website will be sent as individual stems and fastened to a removable insert within the box. Simply lift the insert out of the box and untie the wire fastenings on the back.
